I completed my PhD in 2014. Prior to joining the Uppaluri lab, I was a lecturer of Food Nutrition at State Key Laboratory of Tea Plant Biology and Utilization, Anhui Agricultural University, Hefei, P.R. China. I have been actively involved in prevention obesity and related metabolic disorders research for nearly ten years. My latest research projects deals with the molecular mechanism of tea supplement preventing obesity, diabetes, and activating thermogenesis in mice. 

I joined the Uppaluri lab under a CSC fellowship and work on immunotherapy resistance in head and neck cancers.
